You need to know more about this litter:

I never in this world would have ever tried a pellet litter because I thought you couldn't scoop the urine.  What I discovered is, you don't have to scoop the urine, only the feces.  Any urine odor?  Not a bit?  Since I tried it, I've never used anything else in my cattery.  Here's how it works:

Instead of filling up your litter box with 3 to 4 inches of scoopable litter, take the Country Kitty pellets and fill the litter box bottom with only an inch of pellets…just enough to cover the bottom of the litter box.  On a daily basis (or twice/morning & evening), scoop out the feces.  Then stir the urine amongst the other pellets.  When the urine hits the pellets, it turns into sawdust, absorbing all the odors.  As you stir the urinated sawdust among the other pellets, the pellets then absorb the urine dust and odor.   In opposition to scoopable clay litter, the litter box will expand with sawdust and as it does, emptying the litter box becomes lighter in weight as opposed to heavier (the sawdust is lighter than the pellets!!)

Once the litter box becomes mostly sawdust (rather than pellets), dispose of the sawdust and replace with another inch of pellets.

A 20-pound bag of Country Kitty pellets should last a 1-2 kitten household approximately 4-5 weeks or more.  This would include emptying the sawdust and sanitizing the box 1 once a week or every 2 weeks.

As I mentioned, Country Kitty hardwood pellets are earth-friendly.   When your litter box becomes sawdust, you can then use it as mulch around your acid-loving plants such as ferns & azaleas.  Or if you prefer, like I do, empty the saw dust in a paper bag and have it hauled away with your yard waste or trash pick-up !
